The LAP S series is a compact table press engineered for sample production and simple pressing operations — precise, reliable, and built to Joos standards.

The press table is guided by four high-precision, chrome-plated steel columns, each located at the corners. The low-wear columns ensure precise and even guidance of the press table.
The heating plates can be designed as medium or electric heating plates. Water or oil is used as the heat transfer medium. Cooling zones are installed under the heating plates in order to cool the pressed material in the press.
The system is operated via the clearly arranged operating panel and operating elements arranged on the operator’s side. The switch cabinet with integrated PLC controller is mounted to the right of the press.
The data collection system is used to record process parameters in real time. Data can be displayed on the screen or processed further via interfaces.
The press is equipped with a protective gate made of Plexiglas, which secures the working area against accidental access. The protective gate closes automatically before the pressing process begins and reopens automatically after the pressing cycle is complete.
The maintenance-free hydraulic system is installed under the switch cabinet in a space-saving manner. Its design as a sub-oil unit in shutdown mode offers optimal noise minimization with a high level of reliability and durability.

The non-contact safety device (safety light array) is installed on the operator's side to interrupt hazardous movements in case of unintended access into the press. The safety light array is required to operate the press in automatic mode.
Four stable prism guides, located at each of the corners, are used to guide the press table. Their design ensures play-free guidance of the press table, even at different temperatures.
