The LBM 32-23 is the most popular of Ayen's series of line boring machines. The LBM's lifetime-hardened spindle drilling unit slides smoothly on linear ball bearings and massive ground & hardened shafts. The part support table requires no set-up or clamp movement to perfectly reference the drill depth. This allows the operator to position the drill head almost instantly, anywhere along the depth of any size panel in less than a minute. The taper pin locks and then stops, positively locking the drill head to a tolerance of 0.1mm (.004"). The LBM is much faster for custom work than setting up a double head machine because you can always keep several pre-sets "locked in." This feature also means that it requires less tooling, training, and thinking to use.
